Pudukuduirippu falls, 450 LTTE cadres died

Apr 05 : Srilanka ARMY has reached another milestone in Wanni Operations by completely gaining the control over Puthukkudyiruppu, The last remained stronghold of the LTTE. ARMY got the control of Puthukkudyiruppu with facing heavy resistance from LTTE. This is one of the biggest fall back of LTTE in Wanni operations.

More than 250 terrorists have killed on Sunday alone and over 420 has killed in confrontations in last 03 days. ARMY has already recovered 250 bodies of tigers killed on sunday confrontations. Most of those LTTE cadres assigned to the Imran Pandyan and Charles Anthony divisions of LTTE. Slain LTTE leaders were also among them including former bodyguard of LTTE leader Prabhakaran, former Northern region chief and two female leaders.

ARMY intelligence yesterday confirmed that 'Pottu Amman' LTTE's intelligence head have apologized from LTTE leaders on huge dismantle of their cadres. Also reported that Pottu Amman, Theepan and Bhanu have led the LTTE fighting formations and Bhanu has sustained injuries during heavy fightings yesterday.

After the falls of pudukuduirippu LTTE is now only remain 20 sq.km including the No-Fire zone. and a small area of nandikuda lagoon. ARMY officials announced that they are now tactically moving towards those areas.
